In every city there is a proper chain of command and direct contact of order however, if a resident is not apprised of this direction his feats are useless. He travels in paths unknown in terms of trying to help apprise the leadership of the city with dangerous issues in need of repair. Ve Tran gave me direction, contact names, email addresses, and affirmation. Knowing who''s who is pivotal within the city of City of Costa and I thank Ve Tran. He was fair. He pointed the direction and I marched. He in no way was favorable and I was not passive. Serious lives have been saved! I pass "kudos" and appreciation to the City of Costa Mesa and the City Council for putting up with all my emails and assertiveness. Communication is key. Using internet and a web page helped to keep communication together like glue. Sometimes repeating statements so others understood the direction of where we began and our finish line. It''s rewarding to know that there is a plan, a goal, and not chaos. I believe that we achieved as a community in 6 months as a team what I aimlessly tried to achieve for the last 10 years. Please keep in mind that not only are we blessed to have the wisdom and disciplines of Ve Tran here in the City of Costa Mesa but who also fought for us as an officer as a fighter pilot in Vietnam. He may have given us a team here in the west side of Costa Mesa with a removal and replacement of a "pencil thin" fire hydrant, removal a street lamp rusty at the base & unsafe in standing, the repair of a concave 4"+ street holes able to flip a Fire Engine or a racing car, and other items...but he has done far greater acts of service. His attitude shows me this. I look forward to working with him and his team in the future. Please accept my nomination for Employee of the Month, Ve Tran! VTran@ci.costa-mesa.ca.us
